Terms & Conditions

  • Making Aces Holiday Camps are for children aged 5 to 12.  However we do offer places to children who are 4 years old who are attending with an older brother or sister.
  • The Sessions are Extended Day – 9 am to 4 pm and Standard Day 10 am to 3 pm.
  • Sign-in starts 10minutes before the official start time of each day
  • Collection must be no later than the official finish time for which you have booked.
  • Bookings are made via our website – www.makingaces.com and payment are made via Paypal
  • All bookings will be confirmed by an automated PayPal email
  • We do not offer refunds but do offer a credit for another session if 24hours notice is given
  • Holiday Camps will take place whatever the weather. Please make sure you child is appropriate dressed in wet weather conditions. We have use of indoor space and take shelter during heavier rain showers and cold weather.
  • During “Water-Fight Wednesdays/Fridays” it is advisable to bring a change of clothes and a towel.  If you child does not wish to take part, please note this on the booking form and inform a member of staff when signing in.
  • All children should bring a packed lunch and adequate drink/water.  Water bottles can be refilled with water if necessary.
  • Most activities take place outside.  Please provide your child with a sun hat and sun cream (to be applied by the child) for sunny days.
  • Staff will re-apply sunscreen if necessary.
  • We do not currently accept payment by Child Care Vouchers
  • Children must be collected by 3 pm for the Standard Day and 4 pm for the Extended Day.  If you do not pick your child up by the due time, please contact us in the first instance if you are going to be late on 07775 997746.  A £5 Late Pick Up Fee will be charged in the first instance, payable upon collection.  We reserve the right to impose a Late Pick Up Fee for repeated Late Collection charged at £10 every 15 minutes after 4 pm, i.e. 4.16 pm collection results in a £20 fee.  Payable upon collection.
  • Please inform the staff at the arrival signing in if a different person will be collecting your child or if your child has been given permission to make their own arrangements for getting home (walk, bike etc)
  • All relevant information should be entered on the booking form, to include, medical history, disabilities, dietary allergies and Special Educational Needs Declaration
  • If you have entered any information in the Medical History session, it is your responsibility to inform the staff at the Signing In on arrival.
  • Staff are not trained to administer medication. Parents/guardians are encouraged to make arrangements to visit at the agreed time to administer this themselves.
  • Medication such as asthma pumps may be left with a member of staff and a letter of instruction of procedures is required.  Staff will not administer medication of any kind, including epi-pens, except in an emergency.
  • In the event of an accident, first aid will be administered, and the emergency services will be called if necessary.  All staff are First Aid Trained. In the event that you cannot be contacted, you give permission for us to seek medical advice and/or treatment in an emergency.
  • Parents/guardians will be contacted and asked to collect any child if taken unwell during the day.
  • All physical activities involve a risk of injury.  Making Aces and its staff cannot be held responsible for any accidental injury, or loss or damage to personal belongings.
  • Making Aces reserves the right to refuse a place at the Holiday Camp if your child or other children’s safety or well-being is at risk.
  • Children must not attend if they feel unwell
  • Making Aces will not be liable for any lost or damaged property on the Holiday Camps.  It is advised that all property is marked clearly with the full name of the child.  Lost property will remain until the last day and should be collected before the last day.  Unclaimed lost property will be given to charity at the end of the summer.
  • We strongly recommend that children do not bring valuables, money or jewellery onto the site as we cannot be held responsible for the loss of any valuables.
  • From time to time photographs and videos are taken.  These are solely for marketing purposes and on social media platforms.  Please advise us if you do not want your child’s picture taken.
  • If you child’s behaviour does not adhere to our Code of Conduct, you will receive a phone call asking for your child to be removed.  Please see our Code of Conduct Policy.

Code of Conduct

At Making Aces, we want every child to have enjoyable and positive experience at our Holiday Camps.  Our ethos is to have fun and allow children to play and develop in a safe environment. We expect all children to Listen to instructions, Respect Staff members and other children, as well as being able to join in with any of the given activities without needing 1-1 attention. We will not tolerate inappropriate language or threatening/ violent conduct.
