In April 2008 Making Aces launched its very first Schools Outreach Programme.
Since then, the Making Aces Coaching Team have delivered tennis sessions at more than 30 schools in the Colchester Area, and have built strong links with those primary schools. Children at these schools were given coaching over a course of weeks, then invited to play against other children in a series of fun tournaments.
We believe that all children should be given the opportunity to play Tennis, so thanks to funding from the LTA and Colchester Blackwater School Sports Partnership we were able to deliver free coaching sessions to 8 schools in low-socio economic areas around Northeast Essex during 2010 and 2011.
2012 will see even more children given the opportunity to play tennis at grassroot level and compete against other schools in Making Aces Primary School Tennis Tournaments.
Making Aces offer both after-school Tennis Clubs and free curriculum time taster sessions for schools in the Colchester area.
