Founded in 2007 by Colchester Tennis Coaches Rob Twyman and James Barnard, with a young, fresh, modern outlook on offering tennis to all backgrounds and abilities. Making Aces coaches are passionate about tennis. We offer an enthusiastic approach to running a Club, Coaching Programme, Holiday Camps and Tournaments.
It is our mission to provide the following:
- A Tennis Club that offers Tennis coaching for both Juniors and Adults, along with match play opportunities regardless of previous tennis experience (if any!)
- A friendly non-elitist atmosphere offering tennis for players of all ages and abilities
- Affordable fees so Tennis can be a sport for all backgrounds.
- Grassroots tennis for local school children
- Making tennis more than just a sport played during Wimbledon
- Colchester’s first LTA ’Clubmark’ tennis facility
- Allowing players to compete without taking tennis too seriously
